3/8" Square Parting Tool with Carbide Insert (.060" Blade Width)

This 3/8" square parting tool features a precision-ground .060" wide blade, making it ideal for parting off ringwork, plastics, and other cue building materials such as ferrules, joint collars, and butt caps.

The tool is fitted with a specialty carbide insert featuring an upward rake, designed to cut cleanly through wood, plastic, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals. It excels at creating fine, ribbon-like shavings—especially when parting maple—and stays sharp significantly longer than traditional HSS tools. Each insert has two usable cutting edges and can be rotated when one becomes dull.

Important Fitment Note:
This tool is designed for use with a Quick Change Toolpost and will not fit the standard double-sided toolpost without modification.

Cutting Capacity:

• With a single-stack top slide: Can part off material up to 0.5" diameter

• With a double-stack top slide: Can part off material up to 1.38" diameter
